Topic: Help Setting Up Display

Hi all!

I'm a happy FPGA Arcade user :-) but stumble upon a problem recently wanted to play Simon The Sorcerer with my girls: The display is offset (down) so we cannot "reach" the commands at the bottom of the screen (Talk to...).

Here is a screenshot : http://www.chingu.asia/wiki/userfiles/i … posite.jpg
I'm using the latest (?) AGA core as well as the latest firmware "Firmware_Replay1_20190928_00-01.zip" (see http://www.chingu.asia/wiki/index.php?title=BogjeDoen).

You can see that the image displayed is too much "down" (can't see the bottom of the image) however, the mouse is within the "right" area so we cannot reach, with the mouse, the commands at the bottom cannot be reached...

What am I doing wrong? Could I change the offset of the screen?

Cheers!

Re: Help Setting Up Display

Have you had any issues with any of your other games with this display issue?
What monitor are you using btw of interest? what connection type to it? dvi->svga or dvi-hdmi or comp/svid?
Games need to be set on the correct core .ini file depending if its an ntsc/pal file see below.
ie: Your game looks as though its like an NTSC screen, with a PAL game see note below.

"replay_amiga_pal.ini is the same as replay.ini except for the base clock settings. You only need to use this if you want accurate PAL clocking, or you are using composite / svideo output."

Re: Help Setting Up Display

Hiya. You are getting the cores from the new release area, good.
I can't see the image you post sad

Re: Help Setting Up Display

Also these options in your replay.ini or replay_amiga_pal.ini are the most common settings for controlling the ntsc / pal switches.

# PRE PROCESSING PART
a)
#clocks
(Set pal)
# NTSC M1 N1 M2 N2 M3 N3 | p0 p1 p2 p3 p4 p5 | d0 d1 d2 d3 d4 d5 | y0 y1 y2 y3 y4 y5
#CLOCK = 33, 280, 27, 133, 225,2048, 1, 1, 0, 0, 1, 0, 2,16, 1, 1, 8, 1, 1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 0
# PAL M1 N1 M2 N2 M3 N3 | p0 p1 p2 p3 p4 p5 | d0 d1 d2 d3 d4 d5 | y0 y1 y2 y3 y4 y5
CLOCK = 481,4044, 46, 423, 225,2048, 1, 2, 0, 0, 1, 0, 2,14, 1, 1, 8, 1, 1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 0

b)
# sets composite/svhs coder, if fitted
(Set pal)
#coder = NTSC_NOTRAP
coder = PAL_NOTRAP

c)
# menu entry - AMIGA VIDEO
title = "AV Settings"
(set pal)
item = "Mode", 0x00000010,static
option = "PAL", 0x00000000,default
option = "NTSC",0x00000010
