Topic: Galaga test setup

TEST/BETA VERSION, here for download!

Ini-files for NTSC-like video (interlaced "SD" and non interlaced) are included. You have to get/add the ROM files yourself.

Some comments about this version (SVN rev. 1502):
- keep the whole bunch of files in a subdirectory on the SDCARD for the Replay board (all ROM files and ini file)
- any Galaga ROMs working on a "real" Galaga HW will/should work for this core as well
- joystick mapping is NOT final, also mapping for keyboard is missing (idea: keep it similar to MAME)
- DIP switch configuration in OSD menu works, also the audio volume setting and scanline setup
- DVI-A/D (thus also via DVI->HDMI or DVI->VGA adapter) works (NTSC non-interlaced mode recommended)
- Composite/SVideo/DVI-RGB->Scart works as well (in NTSC interlaced "SD" mode only)

Woot!... grabbing it now!  smile

Re: Galaga test setup

Any updates on this core? It's one of my old time favorites!

Re: Galaga test setup

Should work fine. I'll get to work mirroring...

Re: Galaga test setup

Subtle 2 month bump smile

Re: Galaga test setup

Ok, what I'll do is put the older cores on the mirror over the weekend. I was intending to update them first, but we can start with just the binaries.

Re: Galaga test setup

The SVN dir is not really suitable for distribution, I've set up a package and checked it briefly on my board...

See update on first post in this thread...

Re: Galaga test setup

I did put some files on the SVN release tree, so should appear there as well (after overnight cloning).

Re: Galaga test setup

Will there be an option to rotate the screen, so I don't have to rotate the monitor?

Re: Galaga test setup

You could rotate your head?

The 2nd DRAM channel (added for the Amiga RTG) could be used for this - I think. It will add a frame of latency however.

Re: Galaga test setup

Yeah, it's a 1st world problem,. smile

I can have a look for a monitor with a rotate option.
Not high priority, just nice to have. The work on the Amiga core you guys have done until now is amazing!
